bauma FORUM 2007 for the mining industry

bauma 2007 was the most successful bauma ever and exceeded all expectations not only regarding the number of exhibitors but also concerning the number of visitors. In addition to all records and the great feedback, bauma 2007 celebrated a fantastic première: For the first time, bauma featured the so called bauma FORUM which provided exhibitors and visitors with all newsworthy information on the market for mining machinery, tunnel construction and processing technology as well as on new product developments.

Due to its main topics 'Mining', 'Tunnel construction', 'processing technology', the bauma FORUM was located centrally in hall C2, where a range of well-known and distinguished manufacturers presented their products from the area of surface and underground mining, processing systems as well as international projects and trends.

Munich International Trade Fairs and the VDMA- Mining Equipment Association put together an attractive programme of presentations, panel discussions and lectures. Above all, the four country specials '“ Central and South America, China/Asia, India and Russia '“ gave an interesting insight into the current situation regarding the mining of raw materials in the countries concerned and were met with great approval; as were the weekend events which had their focus on international science and research. All in all, the more than 60 events attracted more than 2,400 auditors.

bauma, the 29th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Construction Equipment, takes place from 19 to 25 April 2010 at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. In 2007 the event attracted 3,041 exhibitors from 49 countries, all presenting their products and services on 540,000 square metres of exhibition space. Over 500,000 trade visitors, 160,000 of them from outside Germany, attended this leading trade fair in Munich. For seven days they were able to review all the latest developments and technologies in machinery, equipment and vehicles for the construction, building-materials and mining industries. These figures underline bauma´s position as the most important platform for the building and construction industry worldwide.
